- The PC graphics chips caught up 6 or 7 years back... There is no longer
- anything magically about the custom chips. Time to wake up.

- You are really confused, aren't you ? The OS is what makes the Amiga seem
- fast. Draco is an Amiga without its custom chips. Would you call it slow ?

- You support the best SVGA cards. Period. If there is a better one on
- the market, you make a driver for it. That's what RTG is all about. This
- is the only way that the user can choose the best hardware to suit his/her
- needs. Don't restrict everybody to 640x400 when some need 1280x1024. How
- many printers are out there ? Are they all the same ? So what if you need
- different drivers. You just have to install that once.

- Wouldn't a 64-bit blitter capable of all the Amiga stuff plus more, with
- high resolution like 1280x1024 256 colours noninterlaced standard and much
- higher bandwidth (like 135 MHz dot rate) helps ? Or is better to use an
- inferior chip ?

- I guess your degree isn't in computer hardware or system designs then.
- The bloody backbone on the Amiga is still down the old 14MHz, 32-bit path
- (at 1/2 the cycles) while the PC can race it down at 33MHz. BTW read up
- on some of Dave Haynie's posts. He did system designs for a living.
